About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, welcoming space where you can begin to understand your story and reconnect with your sense of self. My approach is holistic and compassionate — supporting you to take those first steps into the next chapter of your life with strength and hope.
I see clients in person from my private, secluded garden studio in Uttoxeter, as well as online and over the phone.
I believe that healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted as you are. Counselling isn’t about fixing you — it’s about creating a safe space where you can explore your experiences, understand your needs, and grow at your own pace.
Practice description
How I Can Support You
Many people I work with face challenges that leave them feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of who they are. I have experience supporting individuals living with:
* Anxiety, stress, low mood & panic
* Bereavement & loss
* Trauma & domestic abuse recovery
* Low self-worth & loss of identity
* Relationship difficulties & boundary issues
* Life transitions & personal growth
* Young people’s emotional wellbeing
Together, we will gently focus on rebuilding a sense of safety, self-trust, and emotional resilience, enabling you to move towards greater balance and confidence.
My Therapeutic Approach
As a qualified counsellor, I recognise that no single approach fits everyone. I draw on a range of therapeutic models, thoughtfully weaving them together to meet your needs:
*Person-Centred Therapy — a space where you feel genuinely understood, helping you build trust in your own inner voice
*Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — developing practical coping tools to navigate difficult thoughts and align with what matters to you
*Psychodynamic Therapy — exploring how past experiences and attachment patterns influence your present feelings and relationships
*Somatic Therapy — reconnecting body and mind to help you feel grounded, regulated, and safe
What You’ll Experience in Therapy
A non-judgmental approach to help you tell your story and explore the impact this is having upon you and the relationships around you. It is a space where your feelings matter, and your pace is respected.
We may:
- explore coping strategies and co-create a toolkit which will help you to cope better and live a more fulfilling life in the here and now
- gently and safely explore how past experiences influence the present at your own pace
- gain a greater insight through collaborative exploration into your relationship patterns, with others and most importantly, yourself
- work on creating a greater sense of self-awareness, resilience, acceptance and self- confidence
