About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Louise, a fully qualified and ÌÇÐĹÙÍø-registered counsellor. I work with adults aged 18 and over, offering in-person sessions in Kingshill, near West Malling in Kent, as well as online counselling across the UK. Many clients find online therapy a flexible and accessible way to fit support into busy lives.
I provide a professional, confidential, and supportive space where you can reflect on your experiences, gain clarity, and work towards meaningful change. I offer both short-term, focused therapy and longer-term, in-depth support, depending on your individual needs.
People come to counselling for many reasons - feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, lacking confidence, or facing challenges in relationships, work, or life transitions. I provide a calm, non-judgemental environment where you can explore what’s going on and begin to move forward at your own pace.
I work with a wide range of issues, including:
• Anxiety and stress
• Grief and bereavement
• Depression and low mood
• Low self-esteem and confidence
• Relationship and family concerns
• Workplace stress and burnout
• Life transitions and personal growth
• ADHD and neurodiversity
Whatever you’re facing, we can work together to help you feel more understood, more balanced, and better able to move forward.
Practice description
Alongside my general counselling practice, I have experience working with younger adults navigating identity, relationships, and early career decisions, and I recognise that the longer-term impact of the pandemic has shaped many people’s confidence, sense of direction, and stability during key stages of development.
In addition to this I have particular experience in bereavement and loss, having worked with a UK bereavement charity and within a hospice setting, which has given me a strong understanding of how deeply personal grief can be and the importance of compassionate, individualised support.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked in recruitment, providing valuable insight into workplace dynamics, career development, and the pressures many people face professionally. I support clients with career decisions, workplace stress, burnout, and periods of transition, combining empathy with practical understanding.
My approach is warm, grounded, and empathetic - professional without feeling clinical. I work in an integrative, person-centred way, adapting each session to suit your needs, personality, and circumstances. I believe that a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful and lasting change.
My first session
Choosing to begin counselling is an important step, and it’s natural to have questions about how it works and whether it’s the right fit. My approach is collaborative, meaning we’ll work together to understand your needs, set goals, and find strategies that support your wellbeing. Every person’s journey is unique, so our work will be tailored to what feels right for you.
The first step is a free telephone or online 15 minute consultation, where we can discuss your situation, answer any questions, and explore whether my approach is the right fit for you. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to help you feel confident about starting your counselling journey.
If you feel ready, please get in touch to arrange a free online consultation and take the first step toward feeling more grounded, understood, and supported.
