About me and my therapy practice
I am a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø registered Integrative-Relational Counsellor offering in person counselling based in KT19 (Stoneleigh). I have experience with working with a wide range of clients and my approach to counselling is to create a warm and confidential space where you are free from judgment to be heard and understood.
If you are seeking counselling for the first time or returning, I know how daunting this can be. My aim is to support you through your struggles and understanding your experiences at a pace that suits you.
You may be experiencing anxiety or depression, bereavement, dealing with relationship or family issues, low self-confidence, or right now feel stressed, overwhelmed or stuck, please know that you are not alone. I understand how stress, change and life challenges can take a toll and I am here to support you.
If you are interested in working together I offer a free introductory 20-minute telephone call where we can discuss your needs in more detail. I can answer any questions you may have and together we can decide if we are a good match.
Practice description
I hold a BA (hons) degree in Integrative Relational Counselling, this means I am able to draw on a range of therapeutic styles that includes Existentialism, Humanistic and Psychodynamic theory, to suit your needs and I place importance on the quality of the client/counsellor relationship.
I work with individuals over the age of 18 and consider your age, body, culture, gender, mind, neurotype, race, sexuality and spirituality. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel safe and I work alongside you, adapting my support to your needs, one step at a time, to build the confidence and resilience needed to navigate life's challenges.
I am experienced in supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement and loss, stress, work issues, life transitions or changes, relationship or family problems and overwhelm, long-term health conditions, loneliness, low self-esteem and low confidence.
I support neurodivergent adults (diagnosed, self-identifying and exploring) and those caring for neurodivergent children.
Additionally, I support (paid and unpaid) carers and I recognise the unique challenges and deep impact this role can have on you. If you are caring for someone with dementia, long-term health conditions or old age and feeling overwhelmed, remember that it's ok ask for help. Together, we can explore your caring role and overall well-being.
I am committed to my personal and professional development, regularly attend on-going training and inline with the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø ethical framework I receive supervision.
My first session
Starting counselling can feel daunting, it is not uncommon to feel a little unsure and to support you with this I offer a free introductory call.
After this, in person sessions are based in KT19 (Stoneleigh) from a peaceful therapy room. There are plenty of public transport links and free local parking. My aim is to provide a welcoming space so that you can begin to feel at ease and the initial session is an opportunity for the both of us to get to know each other. I will share more about how I work and you will have an opportunity to share a little about yourself and what has brought you to counselling at your own pace, there is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with and I welcome you to ask questions. Together we will confirm if it feels like a good fit for the both of us to work together.
If you are interested in hearing more please get in touch to arrange an introductory telephone call.
