Availability

I currently offer online therapy across the UK, with limited face-to-face appointments available in South London and surrounding areas by arrangement.

Online therapy provides flexibility and convenience, allowing you to access support from a space where you feel comfortable and secure. Many clients appreciate being able to fit sessions around work, family commitments, studies or other responsibilities.

I offer 50-minute sessions and currently have availability on weekdays, including a Wednesday evening appointment for those who are unable to attend during the day. I also offer a limited number of weekend appointments each month for clients who find weekday sessions difficult to attend.

If you're considering therapy and would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute telephone or online video consultation. This provides an opportunity for us to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you may have and decide whether working together feels right for you.

About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps you've been carrying more than most people realise. On the outside, you may appear to be coping but inside you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, stuck in cycles of overthinking or unsure how to move forward. You may be navigating a loss, a relationship difficulty, low self-esteem, burnout or a significant life change. Whatever has brought you to therapy, you don't have to carry it alone.

I am Allison, a psychotherapist offering online therapy to adults across the UK. I trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles before settling in the UK. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years working in education as an SEN teacher, supporting children, teens and families through a wide range of challenges. These experiences continue to shape my understanding of the impact relationships and life experiences can have on our wellbeing.

My approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to your individual needs. I integrate person-centred and behavioural approaches, drawing from Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and CBT-informed strategies where appropriate. Together, we can explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop greater self-awareness and find practical ways to move towards the life you want to create.

I believe that therapy offers more than a space to talk. It can help you better understand yourself, strengthen your emotional resilience and gain greater clarity about what matters most to you.

I aim to provide a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported. I believe therapy is not about fixing who you are; it is about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and creating meaningful change in a way that feels right for you.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am committed to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful therapeutic relationship where meaningful change can take place.

Practice description

I offer online therapy to adults aged 18 and over in a supportive, collaborative and non-judgemental environment.

My approach integrates Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centred therapy and CBT-informed techniques. Together, we will explore the thoughts, emotions and patterns that may be contributing to your difficulties, while identifying practical ways to help you move forward.

I recognise that every person is unique and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs, goals and circumstances, creating a space where you can reflect, develop greater self-awareness and build emotional resilience at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with adults experiencing:

• Anxiety and stress

• Low mood and depression

• Emotional regulation difficulties

• Relationship challenges

• Low self-esteem and self-acceptance

• Grief, bereavement and loss

• Life transitions and adjustment difficulties

• Burnout and work-related stress

• Behavioural change and personal growth

Whether you are facing a specific challenge or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can offer a space to gain clarity, strengthen coping skills and create meaningful change.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute telephone or video consultation to give us an opportunity to see whether we may be a good fit to work together. This initial conversation allows you to ask questions, discuss what has brought you to therapy and learn more about my approach.

If you decide to move forward, our first full session will focus on getting to know you and understanding what you would like support with. We will explore your current concerns, any relevant background information, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

There is no need to prepare anything in advance or have everything figured out. You are welcome to come as you are. My aim is to provide a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences at your own pace.
