About me and my therapy practice
Are you queer, trans, non-binary, or part of the LGBTQIA+ community? Do you have a relationship structure, sexuality, or side of yourself that feels hard to bring into a therapy room without fear of judgement or having to explain yourself?
I'm Katie, a psychotherapist with core training in Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity (GSRD). I work with LGBTQIA+ people, those exploring identity or sexuality, people in non-monogamous relationships, and members of kink and BDSM communities. This isn't a niche I bolt on, it's the core of everything I do.
You won't need to educate me, justify your relationship structure, or worry about being pathologised for who you are. You can just show up.
I'm also experienced in working with anxiety, burnout, shame, trauma, depression, and the kind of exhaustion that comes from years of navigating a world that wasn't built with you in mind.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma (Level 7) in Psychotherapy and Counselling with GSRD accreditation, and I am a Registered Member of ÌÇÐĹÙÍø (MÌÇÐĹÙÍø). I work face-to-face at Chancery Lane in Central London on Wednesdays, and online on Mondays and Fridays.
Sessions from £75. A limited number of concessionary spaces are available, please do ask.
Practice description
Therapy with me is relational and integrative. That means we work with what's happening between us in the room, not just what you report from the week. We pay attention to patterns, to the body, to the things that are hard to put into words.
I draw on psychodynamic and person-centred modalities meaning we can explore how the past shapes the present, while staying grounded in who you are right now.
This isn't quick-fix therapy. It's honest, thoughtful work, and it tends to create real, lasting change.
I particularly support people who are:
- LGBTQIA+, queer, trans, or non-binary
- In non-monogamous, polyamorous, or relationship anarchist structures
- Involved in kink, fetish or BDSM communities
- Experiencing anxiety, burnout, shame, or low mood
- Navigating identity, coming out (at any age), or transition
- Dealing with trauma, particularly minority stress or complex PTSD
My first session
Getting started is straightforward. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call so you can get a sense of me and ask any questions before committing to anything.
Our first full session (50 minutes, £75) is a chance to explore what's brought you to therapy and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure, this is as much about you deciding if I'm the right fit as it is anything else.
Current availability: Wednesday face-to-face at Chancery Lane, EC4A (City of London). Monday and Friday online.
To book your free call, get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
