About me and my therapy practice

Life can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves. You may find yourself constantly questioning your decisions, struggling with anxiety or self-doubt, repeating patterns in relationships, or wondering why certain experiences continue to affect you long after they've passed.

I believe our emotional struggles rarely appear in isolation. They often make sense when understood in the context of our relationships, life experiences and the ways we've learned to cope. Rather than seeing symptoms as something to eliminate as quickly as possible, I'm interested in helping you understand what they may be expressing about your life, your history and the relationship you have with yourself.

My aim is not simply to help you feel better, but to help you understand yourself more deeply so that lasting change becomes possible. As we begin to make sense of your experiences, many of the patterns that once felt confusing or overwhelming can become more understandable, allowing greater freedom in how you respond to yourself and to others.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss and life transitions.

Specialist area: counselling for Cult Recovery, Religious Trauma, Spiritual Abuse, and support when leaving Cults or High Demand Groups. I also have a particular interest in supporting people recovering from religious trauma, spiritual abuse and experiences within high-control groups. These experiences can profoundly affect identity, trust and belonging, and therapy can provide a space to explore them safely and thoughtfully.

Practice description

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on different therapeutic models according to your individual needs. While theory informs my work, I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change.

Clients often tell me they value having a space where they don't feel judged or rushed towards solutions. I work collaboratively, with curiosity and compassion, helping you explore not only what you're experiencing but also why those patterns may have developed. Together we can begin to understand how past experiences continue to shape the present and consider new ways of responding that feel more authentic and aligned with who you are.

Whether you're facing a specific difficulty or carrying questions that have been with you for many years, I see therapy as an opportunity to reconnect with yourself rather than simply learning strategies to cope. My hope is that, over time, you develop greater confidence in your own thoughts, emotions and values, enabling you to live with more choice and less fear.

I offer therapy in both English and Italian.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a significant step, and it's natural to feel uncertain or nervous about meeting someone for the first time. My priority during our initial session is to help you feel comfortable enough to begin talking at your own pace.

The first session (60min) is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy, what you hope might be different, and whether we feel we can work well together. I'll ask some questions to gain an understanding of your background and current circumstances, but there is no expectation that you share everything immediately. We will move at a pace that feels manageable for you.

You'll also have the opportunity to ask me any questions about the way I work or about the counselling process.

Finding the right therapist is important, and I believe it's essential that you have the space to decide whether I feel like the right fit for you.
