About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, steady space where you don’t have to hold everything together on your own. When life feels heavy or confusing, therapy can give you room to slow down, breathe, and feel supported.
People come to me when they feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected. You may be carrying shame, repeating old patterns, navigating grief or change, or feeling the impact of trauma or difficult early experiences.
I am a humanistic and integrative therapist with a gentle, relational approach. I see you as a whole person with a story that makes sense in the context of your life. Together, we explore your emotional world at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
I trained at The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute and bring over 25 years of mental health experience, including 15 years as a mental health nurse and many years in addiction work. I also have training in trauma stabilisation, bereavement, and am informed in Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN).
I aim to offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel seen, understood, and able to reconnect with yourself.
Practice description
My practice is a calm, grounded space where you can arrive just as you are. Many people come when life feels overwhelming, when emotions are hard to manage, or when old patterns keep showing up in relationships.
I work with a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship. I pay close attention to your pace and what feels manageable for you. gently recognising the patterns that have formed along the way and how they influence your current experience. Together, we explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion,
My practice is trauma‑informed and CEN (Childhood Emotional Neglect)‑informed, drawing on training in trauma stabilisation. I bring many years of experience supporting people through complex, emotionally difficult situations.
I intend to offer a steady, supportive space where you can feel safe enough to explore and reconnect with yourself.
My first session
I offer an initial 15-minute telephone or online consultation to get to know each other and see if I feel like the right therapist for you. It’s a space to talk and see how the connection feels.
If you decide to book in, the first 1-2 sessions are a gentle assessment. They help us build a foundation for our work together and explore what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. The aim is to create a safe space where I can attune to your needs and move at your pace.
