About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, supportive, confidential and non-judgmental space where we can explore together whatever is troubling you.

Have you recently been through a major life event such as a bereavement or the end of a relationship? Perhaps you are feeling unfulfilled, stuck and unsure how to make changes. You may be feeling anxious and depressed, have low self-esteem or be struggling with relationships.

Perhaps you are neurodivergent or are a parent/carer of a neurodivergent child, and struggling in a society that caters for neurotypical adults and children.

Many of us find life challenging, and when you're looking for answers, talking is often the best place to start.

I work to build a strong therapeutic relationship so that you are able to share those things that are closest to your heart that can feel daunting or uncomfortable to talk about.

Through our work together, my aim is to help you develop greater self-awareness, to feel stronger and more hopeful, and to make some meaningful changes.

Practice description

I offer both online and in-person sessions.

For in-person sessions, I work from dedicated counselling rooms in Filton and Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol. Both locations are well served by public transport with parking nearby.

For neurodivergent clients, or anyone who needs it, I can send more detailed descriptions and photos of the rooms, and what to expect from the first session. I can also discuss with you, beforehand, any reasonable adjustments that I need to make so that you can feel more comfortable.

Whichever format you choose, we will meet weekly and sessions last for 50 minutes. Sometimes a few weeks are enough, sometimes it can take longer. We will review our work regularly to ensure you are getting what you need from our time together.

My first session

I offer a free, no obligation, initial telephone or online session lasting up to 20 minutes. This is an opportunity for us to start to get to know each other, and we can have a chat about what brings you to counselling. During this session I can answer any questions you might have and we can discuss any concerns.
