About me and my therapy practice
You may have felt a recent shift, stirring or a niggle inside which is causing you to question aspects of your life.
You might begin to question the meaning of your existence and crave a deeper connection to yourself and others. Are you living your life with authenticity or do you feel like you must stay small to fit in? Perhaps you are under pressure to conform whilst there is a part of you longing to break free.
Has something caused your values to change, creating conflict between how you see yourself and how you appear to others. You may have outgrown the version of you who everyone knows, and it has left you feeling lost, isolated or confused.
Lived experiences can cause us to contemplate our purpose in life and open the need for deeper introspection. At times we may feel curious or anxious about events which impact our identity and wellbeing, and phases of life such as our own mortality.
If you feel like you are alone with your thoughts, I welcome you to step into a therapeutic space with me. We will embark on a collaborative journey to explore the questions you have and discover how your unconscious may be communicating what needs to be expressed or processed. Confronting unconscious patterns which shape your behaviour and thoughts are hard but necessary to move forwards with a deeper understanding of who you are. Exploration of the self can encourage a transition into a new way of being, and I am here to walk that journey with you.
As an integrative therapist, i draw on a variety of different approaches to assist you in meeting your needs. I do not believe one approach fits all for we are all unique therefore I use our therapeutic relationship to explore how you connect to yourself and others.
My promise to you is that I will support you without judgement, and will not try to fix you or impact the outcome. Instead, I aim to help you develop the resources to live more authentically with greater self-awareness and understanding.
Practice description
I believe it is important to maintain a regular structure so sessions will be held at the same time and day each week, although some flexibility is offered.
Whether you are looking for short or long term therapy, your aims will be discussed during assessment. We will review our progress regularly to ensure you are getting the right support you need.
My first session
Finding a therapist can be daunting and it is important to find the right one for you.
I offer a complimentary 10 minute introductory call which allows you to ask any questions about the counselling service I provide.
On deciding to work together we will then arrange and schedule a number of sessions to begin.
