About me and my therapy practice

Coping isn't the same as being okay.

Therapy would begin with an initial meeting and a chance to talk about what brings you here, and to see whether working together feels right. I offer a place to speak freely about what has happened, and to consider what might still be possible. Your privacy is protected, as is your ability to think openly and honestly. There's nothing to prepare in advance, and no obligation beyond that conversation. You can expect regular and reliable weekly appointments in Brixton, and you do not need to have made a decision up front if you would like to work on a focussed short term or longer term basis.

People come to me for one of three reasons. Frequently, it's because they're building something demanding: a company, a career, a life others depend on, and the weight has become hard to carry alone. Other times, it can be because illness or loss has entered their life, either through their own diagnosis, or someone else's. Sometimes, it can be something harder to name: a sense that life is off course, or a question of what this is all for. You're welcome to reach out, even if it's just a question about how therapy works.

Practice description

We can carry a lot for a long time. Therapy is a place separate from the rest of life where attention can be given to what matters: we explore your world, in your own time.

I offer reliable, weekly, in-person appointments, grounded in warmth and respect, where your privacy and ability to think openly and honestly are protected. Online and telephone appointments are available on request.

Sessions take place in a quiet therapy room just off Brixton Road, near Brixton Underground Station on the Victoria Line and a short distance from Stockwell, Clapham, Camberwell, Herne Hill and the wider South London area.

My first session

An initial consultation will be used to explore your circumstances, assess whether my approach will be a good fit, and establish the therapeutic focus of the work.

You are welcome to ask any questions you need about therapy and my practice. You do not need to have made a decision before starting if you would like to work on a short term or long term basis.

If we agree to continue, we will contract for regular weekly sessions, each lasting 50 minutes, held at the same time and location.
