About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Katy
I'm a down-to-earth and intuitive counsellor, I provide a compassionate and inclusive space where every story is welcome.
My approach is Integrative, meaning I base my practice on my core training from a humanistic , person-centred approach but can blend techniques from different modalities or work creatively to support your needs, focusing on you as the whole person, mind, body, emotions and social aspects.
I have experience with a diverse range of clients including grief and loss, narcissistic abuse, relationship breakdowns, stress, anxiety, depression, menopause, empty nest syndrome, male stigma, neurodiversity, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
If you are struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, low confidence, or burnout-especially alongside a later diagnosis of ADHD or Autism - or you are a single parent trying to hold it all together, you are warmly welcome here, just as you are , to explore things at your own pace in a safe and supportive space. My work is trauma-informed, meaning I hold a gentle awareness how life experiences can shape patterns, emotions, and how we move through the world.
I have lived experience of a late diagnosis of ADHD and discovered the link between female hormones and ADHD symptoms. I am particularly interested in supporting neurodivergent clients.
Many of my clients share that after a few sessions they have felt calmer in their bodies, and more regulated in their nervous system.
Practice description
I support men, women & teens including LGBTQIA+ clients, navigating ADHD, Autism and late diagnosis. Trauma -informed work for anxiety, burnout, single parents, menopause/early menopause( with ADHD symptoms) , and recovery from narcissistic and emotional abuse.
My goal is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore thoughts and feelings. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I believe healing doesn't just happen through techniques or theories- it happens also through connection.
