About me and my therapy practice

My name’s Jess, and I’m a psychotherapeutic counsellor in Bristol offering inclusive therapy for adults, young people, children and neurodivergent clients.

I’m a person-centred integrative counsellor. Simply put, this means I’m able to use different methods to best support you. I don’t analyse or diagnose; instead, I will work with you to understand what you need and how I can best help, at a pace that feels right for you.

My style of therapy is also trauma-informed and incorporates emotional exploration and Psychoeducation. I believe understanding what’s happening in our brains and bodies can be empowering, helping you make sense of your experiences and take what we discuss in sessions into everyday life.

I’m trained to work with adults, young people and children (aged 11+) and have a strong focus on, and I am passionate about, working with neurodivergent clients. My practice is informed by specialised training and an in-depth understanding of how neurodivergence can impact mental health, relationships, identity, and daily life. I offer a neuro-affirming approach that centres understanding, collaboration, and education.

I also have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, relationship issues, ADHD, autism, self-harm, suicidal ideation,  sexuality, gender, and identity. I work both online and in person.

I have huge respect for all my clients and for people seeking therapy. I love my work, and I believe therapy doesn’t always have to be heavy; there can be lightness and even laughter alongside the hard work.

If you’re curious but don’t know if it’s the right fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch. I’m happy to answer questions or have an informal chat before booking anything in.

After this we can book an initial session to discuss things in more detail. This can be just one, while you decide if I am right for you or you can book in a block of sessions depending how many you want. This session is charged as my standard rate.
