About me and my therapy practice

I work online with adults of all ages and life stages.

Are you a student figuring out your identity, what's next in life, maybe managing stress, low self-esteem or relationship challenges?

Perhaps you are a parent (new or not so new!), struggling with the juggle?

Are you feeling stressed or burnt out at work, anxious about the future, or dwelling on the past?

you might be a woman in midlife navigating the hormonal shifts of perimenopause whilst feeling the pressures of caring responsibilities as your children grow or parents age.

You may be at a career crossroads, nearing retirement, or faced with the end of a relationship or an empty nest.

Whatever you want to bring to counselling, I am here to listen and help you to find your way through life's twists and turns.

Practice description

You might be feeling unsure about counselling, so let me explain what to expect.

This is a space where you can explore whatever’s on your mind - whether it’s anxiety, relationship difficulties, burnout, grief, or a sense that something just doesn’t feel right. It’s time for you to pause, reflect and focus on yourself.

I work integratively, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your needs and preferences. My role is to support you with curiosity, compassion, and care - helping you make sense of your story, recognise patterns, and discover ways forward that feel manageable and meaningful to you.

Depending on what feels most helpful for you, I may suggest various approaches which offer practical tools and deeper insights, such as:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

You don’t need to know anything about these models before starting; our work together will be guided by your pace, your story, and what feels most helpful to you.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute online call to see if we are a good fit - this is because feeling comfortable with your therapist is the most important factor in positive outcomes from any type of counselling.

If you decide you want to work with me, I will send you an agreement and information form to complete. This lays out the expectations for counselling and gives me some background information, so that we can begin building a therapeutic relationship built on trust from the first session.

In our first session we will explore your goals and preferences for our work together, and begin to get to know each other.

About me and my therapy practice

I’m a British-born counsellor based in Geneva and online. I work with adults navigating the twists and turns of life - whether that’s anxiety about the future, challenges in parenting, relationship strain, cultural adjustment or career crossroads. I offer sessions in both English and French, supporting clients with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

My path into counselling has been shaped by personal and professional experiences. I have experienced parenting and teaching in an international context, helping me to understand the pressures that many of us carry - the juggling, the questioning, the emotional load - and inspiring me to support others.

I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can slow down, explore what’s on your mind, and discover with what really matters to you. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration as I believe that growth happens when we feel seen, heard, and understood.

Whether you’re navigating change, looking to understand yourself better, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

My Qualifications

I have a BSc in Social Psychology and MA in Counselling, as well as a PGCE and QTS. I complete regular training and supervision to stay up-to-date with recent evidence-based approaches, and further develop my counselling skills and knowledge. I am a member of the Swiss Association for Counselling (SGfB) a registered member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø, and adhere to their ethics frameworks.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute introductory call for us to meet and find out if working together might be a good fit. We will talk about why you are seeking counselling and discuss some of the practical aspects like scheduling and fees.

Ahead of your first session, I will ask you to read and sign a client information form and agreement, giving me background information, and ensuring that the counselling process and my policies are transparent, so that you give your informed consent.

If you decide to go ahead with counselling, the first 50 minute appointment we will begin to get to know each other and discuss your current challenges, goals, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

Research shows that the most important factor across all counselling approaches is the quality of the relationship between counsellor and client, so the first few sessions play an important role in building trust and understanding.
