I'm Nicole, a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø-registered counsellor offering online and telephone therapy to adults across the UK. I work closely with individuals seeking support for anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, neurodivergence, chronic illness, as well as the kind of quiet, persistent overwhelm that often feels difficult to categorise.
My lived experience of neurodivergency and chronic illness means I don't just understand these experiences as a therapist, but as someone who appreciates them from the inside. I understand what it means to feel like you don't quite fit into spaces, into conversations, or sometimes into your own body, and I know how rarely it feels safe to be honest about that.
This is a space where that honesty is not just welcome, but the whole point. You don't have to arrive already knowing what you need. You just have to show up.
Practice description
Being authentic matters most to me. Therapy isn't always easy, but it should always feel real and collaborative. My approach is person-centred, which means you set the direction. We move at your pace and around your priorities. I am also mindful of how our experiences shape our present, supporting you in a trauma-informed way to hold your whole story and ensure you never feel pushed further than you need to go. If helpful, I weave in practical tools from CBT and REBT to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop a kinder, more grounded relationship with yourself.
Alongside neurodivergent-affirming therapy, I am particularly experienced in working with clients who may be struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or experiences with grief and loss, chronic illness, and identity. In addition, I can also support with stress, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, life transitions, and relationship difficulties.
My first session
Before we get started, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call; a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where you can share what's been going on, ask questions about how I work, and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. There's no obligation to continue.
If it feels right, we'll schedule your first full 60-minute session. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and what to expect. You can ask anything you didn't get to in the intro call.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I'll do my best to make sure it feels safe, unhurried, and worthwhile.
