About me and my therapy practice

My own experience with therapy and a lifelong curiosity about what shapes us led me to this work. Over time, I realised I wanted to offer the kind of support that truly makes a difference and helps people feel genuinely seen.

I'm Nicole, a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø-registered counsellor, and I offer online and telephone therapy to adults across the UK. I specialise in anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, ADHD and neurodivergence, and chronic illness. These areas matter to me personally, too. I have lived experience with ADHD and chronic illness, so I understand these challenges not just as a therapist, but as someone who has been there.

You don’t need a diagnosis to get in touch. If something feels off, that’s enough of a reason to reach out.

My approach is person-centred, which means you’re at the heart of our work together. I’ll follow your lead, offer a space free of judgment, and trust that you know your own life best. When it’s useful, I bring in techniques from CBT and REBT, offering practical ways to work with your thoughts or gently challenge beliefs that might be holding you back.

Being authentic matters most to me, so you feel safe to bring your whole self. Therapy isn’t always easy, but it should always feel real, collaborative, and truly yours.

Practice description

I offer online and telephone counselling across the UK, so you can access support from home without needing to travel. You can choose to have sessions on Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, WhatsApp video, or by phone. Each session lasts 60 minutes and usually takes place once a week, but we can adjust the schedule to suit you.

Each session is designed just for you. Everyone is different, and our work together will reflect what matters most to you. This could be a specific concern or simply understanding your feelings better.

I specialise in supporting adults (18+) with:

Anxiety, including generalised anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, health anxiety, or feeling persistently overwhelmed.

Depression, such as low mood, feeling stuck, hopeless, or disconnected from yourself and others.

Bereavement and grief, including processing loss in all its forms, such as the death of a loved one, relationship endings, or other significant losses.

ADHD and neurodivergence, with support for understanding and navigating neurodivergent experiences, including ADHD and autism. I can help with emotional regulation, executive function, identity, relationships, and late diagnosis.

Chronic illness, including adjusting to life with ongoing health conditions, coping with the emotional weight they bring, grieving for the life you had, and facing the daily challenges of living in a body that needs extra care.

I can also support with stress, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and self-understanding. Whoever you are and whatever you're carrying, you're welcome here.

My first session

Before we get started, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation over the phone or via video. You can share what's been going on, ask questions about how I work, and see if we might be a good fit. There’s no obligation to continue after the call.

If it feels right for both of us, we can schedule your first full session. In this 60-minute session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what you can expect from our work together. You can also ask any questions you didn’t get to ask during the intro call.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I’ll do my best to make sure it feels safe and worthwhile.
