About me and my therapy practice
When things feel overwhelming, confusing, or hard to put into words, for you or your child, it can be difficult to know where to start.
I support children, young people and adults to make sense of what they’re feeling, at a pace that feels safe, manageable and understood.
You might be noticing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or changes in behaviour that don’t quite make sense. This might show up as withdrawing, overthinking, struggling with relationships, or feeling responsible for others.
I specialise in working with children and young people, with over 20 years’ experience supporting them across a range of emotional and relational difficulties, including within education settings.
Many of the young people I work with are thoughtful and sensitive, but can find themselves overwhelmed, anxious, or carrying more than feels manageable.
Alongside this, I also work with adults experiencing similar feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, or difficulty making sense of their experiences.
My training is integrative, meaning I tailor sessions to each individual. I also offer creative approaches such as Lego-based and Domino Therapy, which can support communication and help make sense of thoughts, feelings and reactions in a more accessible way.
If you’re wondering whether this might be the right support, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
Practice description
My practice is based in a quiet, tranquil countryside location, in Quinton, offering a calm and private setting for therapeutic work.
I also work from therapy rooms in the village of Blisworth and Milton Keynes, as well as from a central Oxford location.
Across all settings, I provide a space that feels steady, containing, and supportive.
I work with children, teenagers, young people, and adults. Children and teenagers don’t always find it easy to talk about difficult feelings, so I work gently and at their pace, using conversation, creativity, and therapeutic activities where helpful.
I offer online counselling via secure video call, allowing you to access therapy from your own space while maintaining consistency and confidentiality.
My first session
I understand that making first contact about therapy can feel difficult. You’re welcome to email, text, or phone, whichever feels easiest for you.
Before starting, I offer a free brief phone call or video call. This gives us a chance to talk about what you’re looking for (if you know what that is), for me to explain how I work, and for you to decide whether us working together feels right for you.
There’s no pressure to know what to say in your first session. We’ll take things at a pace that feels manageable for you.
