About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life feels harder than we expect but reaching out for support can make a real difference.
I offer a warm, supportive, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and talk openly about your feelings, thoughts and experiences. Together we can explore whatever may be going on for you and help you find a way forward.
We work at your pace, building a trusting relationship based on empathy, respect, and understanding.
I support adults, young people, and children (11+) facing difficulties such as:
- anxiety
- depression
- low mood
- stress
- bereavement
- loneliness
- relationship issues
- loss
- feeling overwhelmed
- bullying
- chronic illness
Alongside my private practice with adults and children, I am a counsellor at a local college. Supporting young people through important stages in their lives is especially meaningful to me. When working with young people & children, I offer a flexible and creative approach to help them express themselves in ways that feel comfortable.
How can counselling help? It can help you to:
- Feel heard, understood, and supported in a safe & confidential space
- Develop practical ways to cope with stress, anxiety, feeling low or overwhelmed
- Build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself
- Feel clearer about who you are and what you need and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck
- Feel more confident expressing yourself and making choices
- Discover your own strengths and inner resources
If you're considering counselling, please get in touch for a free consultation and to start the journey towards feeling better.
I am fully qualified person-centred therapist and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ÌÇÐĹÙÍø).
I have an Advanced DBS.
Practice description
I support adults, young people and children (11+).
I offer:
- Face to face sessions in a quiet space in Kendal, Cumbria
- Online or telephone sessions across the UK and worldwide
- Walk and Talk Therapy (also known as Eco-Therapy, Nature Therapy or Outdoor Therapy) in the Kendal, Cumbria area.
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly at the same time.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel daunting, so with this in mind, I offer a free 20 minute introductory session, either by telephone or online.
This is a good opportunity to explore what has brought you to counselling, what you'd like to achieve and to decide whether we feel like the right fit to work together.
There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.
If you’re thinking about reaching out, I’d be really happy to hear from you.
