About me and my therapy practice

I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor offering in-person sessions in Morpeth and online.

I understand how hard it can be to come to therapy for the first time; we are often worried about being judged and can feel that our worries and feelings are not as important as those around us. It is natural to feel nervous, anxious and scared about starting your therapy journey. I have been where you are now and making that phone call or sending an email is the hardest step. If this sounds like you, please get in touch for a free 15-minute consultation and I can explain how we can work together.

I am here to help you explore and understand who you are, your relationships, your problems and your life. I believe that the relationship formed between the client and their therapist, is the most important part of therapy and I will work to make sure that the therapy you receive best fits your needs and your goals.

I became a therapist because I have always been interested in listening to people and hearing their stories. My therapeutic style is about prioritising your wellbeing, self-discovery and growth above all else. I believe that by better understanding ourselves and our actions, we can move towards healing.

Practice description

My practice is based in a calm, welcoming building in the heart of Morpeth. It’s a quiet, professional space that many people find feels safe and non-clinical — more like a comfortable place to pause and talk. The setting offers privacy and a sense of calm.

My first session

In our first session together, we’ll spend some time getting to know you and what has brought you to counselling. I'll ask some questions about parts of your life history to help me understand what you’ve been through and what you might need now. You’re always in control of what you share, and we go at your pace. My aim is to meet you where you are.
