About me and my therapy practice

Welcome, I’m Gona.

You might be here because you’re struggling with anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, or caught in patterns around food, control, or difficult emotions that feel hard to understand. You may also be carrying the impact of past experiences or trauma that still feels present in your day-to-day life.

If this resonates, you’re not alone. These responses often make sense when we look at what you’ve been through, and therapy can be a space to gently begin making sense of it all.

I’m an integrative therapist with a warm, calm, and down-to-earth approach. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can speak openly and feel truly heard. I work in a client-led way, meaning we go at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you.

If you’re considering therapy, you’re very welcome to reach out. There’s no pressure or expectation, just a conversation to see if working together feels right for you.

Practice description

I am a qualified integrative therapist offering a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on beneath the surface, not just the symptoms, but the emotional experiences and patterns that may be shaping how you feel day to day.

I specialise in supporting people experiencing eating disorders, anxiety, panic, overthinking, health anxiety, OCD, and trauma-related difficulties. I have experience working across clinical, community, and frontline mental health settings, including roles with Anxiety UK and other services. This has given me a strong understanding of how overwhelming these difficulties can feel, and how important it is to be met with care, safety, and steadiness.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, and Transactional Analysis. This allows me to tailor our work to your individual needs, supporting both practical coping strategies and deeper emotional understanding. I am mindful that past and present experiences, including those that may feel subtle or long-standing, can shape how we relate to ourselves and others.

In sessions, you can expect a collaborative and paced approach where you are not rushed. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported in making sense of your experiences. I also hold an awareness of culture, identity, and lived experience, and I strive to offer an inclusive and compassionate environment.

If spirituality or meaning-making is important to you, this can also be gently explored in line with your preferences.

If this resonates with you, you are very welcome to get in touch for a relaxed, no-pressure conversation.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship.

During this session, I will take time to understand what has brought you to therapy, the challenges or struggles you may be experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once; we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we will explore your needs and collaboratively identify realistic and meaningful goals for therapy. This helps ensure that our work is focused on what matters most to you.

As every person is unique, I tailor my therapeutic approach to suit your individual needs, preferences, and circumstances. My aim is to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore whatever is important to you.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. Finding the right therapist is important, and I welcome open conversations about how we can work together in a way that best supports you.
