ONLINE THERAPY FOR ADHD, NEURODIVERGENT MINDS AND THOSE FEELING THE STRAIN OF MODERN LIFE.
No shaming. No judgement. Just a calm, confidential, down-to-earth approach to helping those trying to hold it together whilst stuck in survival mode.
Hi, I'm Jack, a Counsellor and registered ÌÇÐĹÙÍø member, holding MÌÇÐĹÙÍø status. My additional training in ADHD led by leading expert Dr James Kustow, helps shape the way I work.
Having ADHD myself allows me to understand not just ADHD itself, but the lived experience that comes with it.
It's not all being 'scatty', being the 'life and soul' of the party, it can be exhausting and lead to some very serious issues, overwhelm, burnout, risky behaviours, low mood, self-doubt, grief, relationship troubles & the very real feeling that life always feels harder than it should, plus all things caused by the pressures of modern life, but you don't need me to tell you all this, you are living with it and it takes real courage to admit something feels wrong and to reach out for help.
I am committed to working within the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Ethical Framework and to making therapy feel more accessible and less intimidating.
If something is not working, we can start there..
Practice description
I am a therapist with all the relevant training and qualifications, but I am also realistic and know that no two people are the same, despite what categories and lists society may want to group us in.
I believe that given the chance, everyone can work through the issues they have going on, so you lead the work and we move at a pace that feels manageable for you.
My role is not to judge or force an agenda, there is genuinely nothing you can bring that is going to make me think less of you. My role is to help you make sense of what is going on and find a steadier way forward, because real change is possible.
Therapy with me is relaxed, honest, and built around real conversation. You can bring messy thoughts, unfinished sentences, uncertainty, or silence. You do not need to present well here, like I said, I am not here to judge, I am here to help.
If you are thinking about starting therapy, or just curious, I am happy to hear from you.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute introductory chat so you can get a sense of whether I might be the right counsellor for you. This can be by phone or online, depending on what suits you best, and there is no pressure to commit to anything.
It is a chance for us to meet, talk a little about what brings you to therapy, and answer any questions you may have about the process or about me. You can share only what feels comfortable.
If you decide to book a session, I will send you any relevant information beforehand. There is no obligation to continue beyond one session if it does not feel right. If we do work together, we will build a relationship with regular check-ins so you feel heard, supported and able to move at a pace that feels right for you.
If you would like to explore working together, please feel free to get in touch.
