About me and my therapy practice
offer thoughtful, relational therapy for individuals and couples in North London and online.
As a mixed Black male therapist, I bring personal and clinical sensitivity to race, culture, gender, identity, belonging and difference. These experiences are not separate from therapy. They can live in our relationships, our sense of self, and in what feels possible to say.
I trained at Tavistock Relationships, a specialist couples institute. This background continues to inform the way I work with both individuals and couples, with attention to the part relationships play in how we come to understand ourselves and our lives.
I now work at Tavistock Relationships as a visiting clinician and trainer. I also bring previous non-clinical experience from Mind and the Anna Freud Centre, including work in trauma-informed services, race equity and wider mental health.

Practice description
You may be looking for therapy because something has become difficult to understand alone. You might be coming with a partner, caught in the same argument, feeling far apart, struggling with trust, intimacy or communication. You might be coming on your own, wanting to understand anxiety, self criticism, identity, family history, men’s issues, racialised stress, or patterns that keep returning.
Much of this work is about relating. The ways we reach for others, protect ourselves, lose trust, stay silent, argue, adapt, or feel unseen. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, speak more freely, and begin to understand what may be happening beneath the surface.
With couples, I do not take sides. I pay close attention to what happens between you, especially in moments where things become painful, defended or difficult to say. Couples often come when the relationship still matters, but the pattern has become hard to shift alone.
With individuals, our work together can offer a space to think about what has shaped you and how you relate to yourself and others. You may be coping on the outside while struggling inside. You may notice that certain feelings, roles or relationship patterns keep returning, even when you have tried hard to do things differently.
The approach is relational and psychodynamic. We will pay attention to what is happening now, what has been carried from earlier relationships, and what may emerge between us in the therapy itself. In both individual and couple work, therapy can help us understand the patterns you have become caught in, and what might be needed for honesty, repair, self understanding and change.
My first session
Our first session is exploratory. It gives us an opportunity to understand what has brought you to therapy, what you may be hoping for, and whether working together feels like the right fit before moving forward.
For couples, we will begin to think about what has been happening between you, the pattern you may feel caught in, and whether couples therapy feels appropriate and useful at this time.
For individuals, we can begin with what feels most present. You do not need to arrive with everything clearly worked out. The first session is a chance to speak, ask questions, and get a feel for how I work.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer thoughtful, relational therapy for individuals in Enfield and Winchmore Hill, North London, as well as online.
You may be coming to therapy because something has become difficult to understand alone. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, identity, racialised stress, family relationships, masculinity, or patterns that keep repeating in your life.
My approach is relational and psychodynamic. I am interested in how past and present experiences shape the way you relate to yourself, to other people and to the world around you. Therapy can offer space to notice what has become familiar, including ways of coping that may once have protected you but no longer feel helpful.
I trained at Tavistock Relationships, a specialist institute for couple relationships. This continues to inform my individual work, particularly my attention to how relationships shape our sense of who we are, what we expect from others and what can feel difficult to express.
As a mixed-race Black male therapist, I bring personal and clinical sensitivity to race, culture, gender, identity, belonging and family history. These experiences are not separate from emotional life. They can shape our relationships, our sense of self and what feels safe or possible to say.

Practice description
You may appear to be coping while feeling very different inside. Perhaps you are used to being capable, thoughtful or reliable, but find it harder to speak about what you need or allow other people to see when you are struggling.
Therapy offers time to slow down and speak more freely about what has been happening. We can begin to understand what you have been carrying, how you have learnt to protect yourself and why certain feelings or patterns may keep returning.
Our work might include thinking about why closeness feels difficult, why self-criticism has become so familiar, or why parts of you have needed to remain hidden. We may also explore the influence of partners, parents, family, community, culture, race, gender and work on how you have come to understand yourself.
I will not rush to give you a label or a neat explanation. We can stay curious about what is happening now, what may have been carried from earlier relationships and what begins to emerge between us in the therapy.
The aim is not only to manage difficult feelings, but to help you understand yourself more deeply and have more choice in how you relate to yourself and others.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel exposing, particularly if you are unsure where to begin or uncertain about what talking might bring up.
Our first session gives us time to speak about what has brought you to therapy, what you hope might change and any questions or concerns you have about the process. There is no pressure to tell me everything at once.
It is also an opportunity to get a feel for how I work and consider if continuing together feels right.
The initial individual session costs £50. If we agree to continue, ongoing individual sessions cost £80.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer specialist couples therapy in Enfield and Winchmore Hill, North London, as well as online.
You may be looking for therapy because something in your relationship has become hard to reach. Perhaps the same argument keeps returning, or you have stopped arguing and feel quietly far apart. You may still care deeply about each other but feel unsure how to find your way back.
I trained at Tavistock Relationships, a specialist couples therapy institute, where I now work as a visiting clinician and trainer. My approach is relational and psychodynamic. I pay attention to the patterns that form between people and to feelings that can be difficult to put into words.
As a mixed-Black male therapist, I bring personal and clinical sensitivity to race, culture, gender, identity, belonging and difference. I am especially interested in how these experiences can shape closeness, family expectations, silence and shame, as well as the ways people protect themselves or feel misunderstood.

Practice description
Couples often come to therapy when the relationship still matters, but the pattern has become hard to shift alone. There may be distance, loss of trust, an affair or secrecy, difficulty talking, problems with sex or intimacy, parenting pressures, family tensions, or a painful sense that you keep missing each other.
My role is not to decide who is right or take sides. I pay close attention to what happens between you, especially when one of you feels blamed, unheard, shut out or unable to say what you mean. I aim to create a space where both partners can feel taken seriously rather than judged.
I know it can feel exposing to bring your relationship into therapy, especially if one of you feels less certain about coming. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong or what you want to happen. We can take time to understand what is going on without rushing either of you.
Much of this work is about how we relate: how we reach for each other, protect ourselves, lose trust, stay silent, argue, adapt or feel unseen. Relationships are shaped by what happens between you, as well as what each person brings from their history, culture, race, gender, family and the experiences they have lived through.
The work is not about pushing you towards staying together or separating. Together, we can begin to understand the pattern you are caught in, what keeps it going and what may make honesty, repair and connection more possible.
My first session
Coming to couples therapy can feel like a big step, especially if one of you feels unsure or worried about what the session might bring up.
Our first meeting is exploratory. It gives us time to hear from each of you, understand what has brought you to therapy and begin to notice what may be happening between you.
There is no pressure to make any decisions in the first session. You can ask questions, get a feel for how I work and consider if continuing together feels right.
The initial session costs £80. If we agree to continue, ongoing couples sessions cost £120.
