I can offer flexible appointment times for those who need them, though I'd recommend a set weekly slot where that's achievable.
About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing or simply too much to carry alone. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to face it by yourself. I will walk alongside you, offering a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where we can explore your experiences together, make sense of what's happening, and work towards a way forward that feels right for you.
I offer psychotherapeutic counselling for a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Whether you're facing a specific challenge, feeling overwhelmed, carrying painful experiences from the past, or simply have a sense that something isn't quite right, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you, helping you understand yourself more deeply, process difficult emotions, and move towards lasting, meaningful change.
When we work together, you can expect:
- A therapeutic relationship built on trust, safety and genuine understanding.
- Sessions tailored to your individual needs, with regular check-ins to ensure therapy continues to feel comfortable and helpful.
- A professional, reliable and consistent service, providing a safe and dependable space for our work together.
- A free, no-obligation initial consultation, giving us both the opportunity to decide whether we're the right fit before beginning therapy.
- The option of having the calming presence of Margot the therapy dog in the room if you wish.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of evidence-based psychotherapy approaches rather than working from a single model. This allows me to adapt therapy to your unique needs, personality and circumstances. Any interventions or techniques are always introduced thoughtfully, carefully, and with your full agreement.
My aim is not only to help you navigate your current difficulties but also to support you in developing greater self-awareness, resilience and lasting change that supports you long after our work together has ended.

Qualifications and Experience
Before retraining as a psychotherapeutic counsellor, I spent much of my career working in health and social care, supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties and drug and alcohol addiction, including those involved with the criminal justice system. During this time, I witnessed the positive impact therapy could have on people's lives, inspiring me to retrain and qualify with an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
My first session
After our free consultation and before we meet for our first session, I will send you a brief agreement explaining how I work, including confidentiality, privacy, and cancellations. You will also be able to complete your contact details and raise anything you would like clarified before we begin. This is so you know what to expect and to see if you have anything you'd like to discuss further.
In our first session we will explore what has brought you to therapy, explore your support system and see if we can clarify your hopes for the therapy. I will explain how confidentiality operates, and you are free to ask me whatever you need in order to feel settled and informed.
