About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling for adults in Brighton and online. You do not need to arrive with a clear goal or the right words — therapy can begin with whatever is going on for you.
My approach is rooted in a humanistic perspective, with a focus on understanding your experience and the relationship we build together. I adapt the work to suit you, rather than following a fixed agenda.
In our sessions, we may spend time with thoughts or feelings that feel difficult, return to experiences that feel unresolved, or begin to notice patterns in how you think, react, or relate to others.
Alongside talking, I may also use writing, imagery, or other simple ways of exploring where helpful. These are always optional and used to support the work.
Practice description
I work with adults who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to make sense of what is going on for them.
This can include anxiety, stress, grief or loss, low mood, or ongoing self-doubt. Some people come with a clear reason for seeking therapy, while others arrive with a more general sense that something isn’t quite right.
Sessions are 50 minutes and can be short-term or longer term, depending on your needs. I offer face-to-face counselling in Brighton and online sessions across the UK and internationally.
You are free to bring whatever is on your mind. We may spend time talking things through, noticing patterns, or working with thoughts and feelings that feel difficult to shift.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re not sure what to expect.
You don’t need to prepare anything in advance or have a clear idea of what you want to talk about. The first session is simply a chance to begin talking about what’s been going on for you.
We’ll look at what has brought you to therapy and what you might want from it, whether that’s understanding something more clearly, working through a specific issue, or having a space to talk things through.
There’s no pressure to say everything straight away. The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether I feel like the right fit for you.
