About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor working relationally from a foundation in Transactional Analysis (TA), with experience supporting people through a wide range of issues.
You may be struggling with anxiety or depression, feel stuck in the past or fearful of an unknown future. Perhaps something is stopping you from fully engaging with life and those you love; maybe you just don't feel like yourself. I offer a safe and accepting space where you can come to know yourself better. Together, we can explore what's weighing you down – the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be interfering with your work, relationships and wellbeing.
As we connect and build trust, sharing your experiences can bring huge relief. Working at your pace, we'll gently explore what's happening and what meaning can be made, so you can move forward with greater awareness, confidence and self-compassion.
As a TA relational practitioner, I adopt a collaborative approach which places your relationships – both with me and with others – at the heart of your personal growth. TA provides a powerful lens for understanding how the past shapes the present, why certain things keep happening, and a framework for living with greater autonomy and understanding.
Practice description
I have experience in both charity and private settings, working with a diverse range of clients, including neurodivergent clients, those living with PTSD in response to trauma, bereavement, OCD, addiction, and adverse childhood experiences, among many other presentations.
Having lived and worked abroad, in the US, Russia, Europe and Southeast Asia, I bring an international perspective to my practice and a particular interest in cultural identity and belonging.
I have an interest in working with individuals who experienced a boarding school education (sometimes referred to as boarding school syndrome).
I have advanced training in relationship and couples work and hold a certificate in Couples/Relationship Therapy.
I am in the final stages of Master's level (MSc) Advanced Psychotherapy training at Metanoia Institute, London.
I am dedicated to upholding ethical and inclusive practices, welcoming clients from all backgrounds, genders, identities and sexual orientations. Each person is unique and deserves respect and dignity. I receive regular supervision from a qualified supervisor.
My first session
We start with a free, confidential 20-minute call, so you can get a feel for how I work and whether it feels like a good fit – no commitment either way. If we go ahead, our first full session is 50 minutes, where we'll explore what's brought you to therapy and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to decide anything on the spot.
