I offer sessions Monday to Friday between 3.30pm and 8pm, both online and face-to-face, giving you the choice of what feels right for you.About me and my therapy practice
I work in a warm, honest and down-to-earth way, offering a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is happening for you at your own pace. My approach is integrative and person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life and that counselling works best when you feel heard, accepted and genuinely understood. I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work, offering empathy, respect and honesty as we explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences together. I may draw on different counselling approaches where helpful, but always in a way that suits you as an individual. I will not tell you what to do or push you in a direction that does not feel right for you. Instead, I will listen carefully, reflect with you, gently support your self-awareness, and help you begin to make sense of patterns, emotions or experiences that may be leaving you feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure of your way forward.
Practice description
Counselling can offer space to talk about the things that feel difficult to carry alone. You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, depressed, stuck, or unsure of who you are or where you are going. You may be struggling with grief, addiction, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, past experiences, trauma, or feeling judged, unheard or not good enough. My practice offers a compassionate and accepting space where you can feel heard, supported and respected as you begin to explore what is going on for you. Together, we can make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Counselling can help you understand yourself more deeply, recognise patterns, process difficult emotions, and begin to find a way forward that feels more manageable and meaningful. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out; sometimes the first step is simply having a space where you can be yourself without judgement. My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, talk through what has brought you to counselling, and begin to understand what support you may be looking for. I know that starting counselling can feel daunting, so there is no expectation for you to know exactly where to begin or to have everything worked out.
During this session, I will ask some gentle questions to help me understand your current situation, relevant background, and what you hope to gain from counselling. We can also discuss how I work, confidentiality, boundaries, fees, and any questions you may have.
Most importantly, the first session gives you space to see whether you feel comfortable working with me. My aim is to offer a professional, warm and respectful space where you feel listened to, supported, and able to make an informed choice about continuing counselling.
