About me and my therapy practice

Maybe you’ve become exhausted from holding everything together - you look like you’re coping on the outside but inside you’re anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself both emotionally and physically. Perhaps you’ve spent too long putting everyone else’s needs first and now you’re feeling burnout and exhaustion slowly creeping in.

Therapy can offer you a space to unfold, a calming place to stop pretending and allow yourself to feel. Together we can work on slowing things down, making sense of what’s going on for you and helping you reconnect with yourself in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.

Sessions are grounded in empathy, collaboration and authenticity, and I strive to create a supportive environment where you feel safe to explore things at your own pace. Over time, many clients find they feel calmer, more connected to themselves and more confident in navigating life's challenges.

As someone who has often relied on thinking things through, I understand how insight alone isn't always enough. Sometimes our bodies are carrying experiences that our minds have already made sense of.

Rather than asking you to fit into one way of working, I adapt my approach to fit you. Some people benefit from making sense of past experiences and attachment patterns, while others find it helpful to explore the different parts of themselves, develop a more compassionate inner voice, learn practical strategies for managing difficult thoughts and emotions, or reconnect with the wisdom of their body. Often, it's a combination of these that creates meaningful and lasting change.

Practice description

You don't need to be in crisis, have all the right words, or even know exactly what's wrong. We can begin wherever you are. Together, we'll gently explore what's happening for you, not only in your thoughts but also in how your body may be carrying stress, anxiety, trauma or past experiences.

Many of my clients are thoughtful, caring people who appear to be coping on the outside, yet privately feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or stuck. They are often highly self-aware, but still find themselves repeating patterns that no longer serve them.

Together we might explore healthier ways of coping, realistic self-care, strengthening support systems, regulating emotions and understanding behaviours that may once have been protective but are no longer helpful. My aim is to help you move from surviving to thriving.

Therapy doesn't remove life's difficulties, but it can help you respond to them differently. Change is often gradual and may begin in small ways. Over time, many people notice they become kinder to themselves, less overwhelmed by their emotions, more confident in setting boundaries and better able to trust their own judgement.

What I value most about this work is supporting people as they reconnect with themselves and discover strengths they may not have recognised. Therapy creates space to better understand yourself, recognise patterns that may no longer be serving you, and begin making choices that feel more aligned with who you are.

It is a privilege to witness those moments when someone realises they no longer need to be so hard on themselves. Seeing clients grow in confidence, self-compassion and fulfilment is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My first session

Reaching out can often be the hardest part. If you’re wondering whether therapy is right for you, you’re welcome to book a free discovery call, with no pressure or obligation. This provides an opportunity to ask any questions you may have, see whether we’re a good fit, and whether working together feels right for you.

Following this, you’re in control of whether to proceed, and will never be pressured to book sessions. Our first session is a chance to get to know one another. There are no formal assessments and nothing you need to prepare in advance.

Sessions can start where you’re at, whether that’s untangling a specific issue or simply making sense of a feeling that something isn’t quite right. There’s no expectation to talk about anything before you’re ready, and we will go at a pace that’s most comfortable for you. You’re always in control of what you choose to share.
