About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be struggling with anxiety, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, facing challenges in your relationships, or finding it hard to cope with everything that's on your shoulders right now. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to face it alone.

I offer warm, relational therapy for adults, couples, and relationships in Margate, East London, and online across the UK. I provide a welcoming, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and less alone in what you're facing.

My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), a humanistic form of psychotherapy that explores how our early experiences, relationships, and beliefs about ourselves can shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others today. Together, we can explore recurring patterns, deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationships, and work towards meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

I work in a collaborative and client-centred way, listening carefully to your story and experience without judgement. Alongside warmth and empathy, I bring curiosity and gentle challenge where it may be helpful.

I work with anxiety, depression, OCD, low confidence and self-esteem, bereavement, trauma, abuse, family difficulties, neurodiversity, parenthood, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also support couples experiencing communication difficulties, conflict, trust issues, emotional disconnection, and recurring patterns within their relationships.

If you're considering therapy and would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation and would be pleased to hear from you.

Practice description

I work with adults individually and with couples and relationships. I offer sessions online across the UK and in person in Margate and East London. We will typically meet weekly for 50-minute sessions and can work in a time-limited way or on an open-ended basis, reviewing this regularly to ensure it continues to meet your needs.

I believe therapy should be a space where everyone feels genuinely welcome – somewhere you can bring the most private, honest and vulnerable parts of yourself, and trust that you will be met with openness, compassion and without judgement.

I am committed to an ethical, inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming practice. I work with an intersectional lens and recognise that our identities, relationships and life experiences are shaped by social, cultural and political contexts. I will always seek to understand your experience in context, taking my lead from you and working without assumptions.

Before becoming a counsellor and psychotherapist, I spent over 20 years working with children and families as an early years teacher in inner London. I have also worked as a counsellor within community counselling services and volunteered with Samaritans. These experiences continue to inform my compassionate, culturally sensitive approach and my commitment to creating spaces where people from all backgrounds feel heard and understood.

I am a registered member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø and an Accredited Member of the NCPS. I attend regular clinical supervision and engage in ongoing professional development to support safe, ethical and effective practice.

Individual sessions are £65 per 50-minute session.

Couples and relationship sessions are £80 per 50-minute session.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute telephone or Zoom consultation where we can talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from it, and what working together might look like.

If we feel we're a good fit, we'll arrange an initial 50-minute session, either online or in person in Margate or East London. This first session gives us an opportunity to begin exploring what's going on for you, the challenges you're facing, and what you would like to achieve through therapy.

It's also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether I feel like the right therapist for you. I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, and there is no pressure to commit beyond the initial session. The session is charged at my standard rate.

I always respond to enquiries. If you're waiting to hear from me, please check your junk or spam folder, as my reply may occasionally end up there.
