About me and my therapy practice
Are you struggling to cope with what life is presenting to you, perhaps in your personal relationships, with family or colleagues and maybe even with yourself? Working with our body, mind, and spirit can result in the most profound transformations greatly improving and enhancing our quality of life, improving our relationships and life decisions. We all have a natural tendency to heal and grow from within us, a place that can be a difficult to go to without support.
As part in my own journey, I trained to become an Integrative Psychotherapist to offer support to others navigating the challenges of modern life, in areas ranging around anxiety, depression, stress, family issues, addiction, relationships, bereavement, addiction, redundancy, life crisis/events, spirituality, culture, religion, domestic and sexual abuse, OCD, PTSD and ADHD.
I work in a relaxed, client-led and integrative approach offering online and in person sessions informed by various schools of psychotherapeutic thought using creative methods to complement and support our work. It takes courage to reach out for support, but the results could be priceless. I warmly invite you to do so.
Practice description
I offer in person sessions, supplemented by online work as necessary to maintain the flow of our work together. I also like to use creative means to support therapy, such as drawing, visualisation, dreamwork, sand play and non-contact breath and bodywork where appropriate.
I am accredited by UKCP and a registered member of ÌÇÐĹÙÍø having qualified as an Integrative and Transpersonal Psychotherapist (PG Dip) at the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in Paddington, London, of which I am an active member and hold the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Certificate of Proficiency.
My first session
Initial consultation sessions typically last for around 50 minutes in the context of an assessment.  We will discuss what brings you to therapy; and what you wish to achieve as well as any previous experience of therapy. You will be very welcome to ask me any questions you might have.  After an initial assessment and our decision to work together, we commence a short term ‘block’ of eight sessions. After which we can mutually agree to work on a longer-term basis and continuously for up to two years, upon which again, we can review and mutually agree to continue sessions if we wish.
