About me and my therapy practice

I became a counsellor because I believe that having a safe, honest space to talk can make a real difference - not just to how people feel, but to how they understand themselves and the choices they make.

I work integratively, grounded in person-centred values - respect, empathy, and a genuine belief in each person's capacity to find their own way through. Depending on what you need, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, REBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Stress Inoculation Training. For behavioural difficulties, I use systematic desensitisation, progressive muscle relaxation, assertiveness training, social skills training, and habit reversal techniques. I adapt what I use to you - not the other way around.

I work in a calm, structured way, at your pace. My role is to support you, not direct you.

I hold an MSc in Counselling Psychology (Distinction) and am an MÌÇÐĹÙÍø Registered Counsellor and Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society, with supervised experience across school, college, university, community, and psychiatric hospital settings.

Practice description

I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about what is on your mind. All sessions are held online, making support accessible from wherever you are.

I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, phobias, OCD-related difficulties, grief, adjustment difficulties, relationship strain, and other common mental health concerns — experiences that can quietly affect sleep, confidence, and how you relate to others. Counselling can help you make sense of what you are going through, develop practical coping tools, and move toward greater steadiness and self-trust.

I offer a culturally sensitive and inclusive practice. I speak English, Kannada, and Hindi, and welcome clients from all backgrounds.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute introductory call online. This is an informal conversation where you can share a little about what has brought you to counselling and ask any questions about how I work. It is a chance for us both to see whether we feel like a good fit before you commit to anything.

If we decide to go ahead, the first full session is a relaxed opportunity to explore what you would like from counselling and what has been difficult. We go at your pace, and there is no obligation to continue after that session.
