About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, approachable counsellor, offering a safe, supportive space for you to explore whatever challenges are going on for you right now.
We all go through difficult periods of time, which can show up as anxiety, stress, overwhelm, low mood or feeling stuck. You may be navigating challenging life transitions or simply have a sense that something doesn’t feel quite right at the moment.
Huge shifts can happen when we feel safe enough to start talking and know that we are being listened to and not judged. An opportunity is created to explore what is really going on for us. I aim to help you make sense of your experiences so that you can begin to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
What can I help with?
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, stress, grief and low mood.
Some people come to counselling with a clear reason or purpose they want to work through. For others, the issues begin to unfold over time; they just know that something doesn’t feel right. Sometimes it’s hard to know what is really bothering us, until we feel comfortable to start talking and opening up.
Maybe you’re:
- Having difficulties in your relationships / family dynamics
- Navigating a separation or divorce
- Struggling with work pressures / juggling life outside of work
- Finding it hard to move on from past events or trauma
- Experiencing illness and age-related issues
Or maybe you don’t really know what is wrong – but you don’t feel yourself. I can support you with whatever you want to bring to counselling. Sometimes it’s hard to know what is really bothering us, until we feel comfortable to start talking and opening up.
Practice description
My counselling work is focussed on the relationship I establish with my clients. I do my best to create an environment that feels calm, trusting, respectful and accepting for us to work within. I believe that you know yourself best and have the knowledge and potential to transform your life, you just need the right space to feel comfortable to talk and be listened to, in order to free yourself from whatever is holding you back.
My first session
If you are interested in working with me, I offer a free 20 minute introductory call before booking your first counselling session in. This gives us an opportunity to talk about where you’re at and what you’re looking for from counselling. I will tell you a bit more about myself and the way that I work. It’s also a chance for you to ensure that the support I offer feels like the right fit for you. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
