About me and my therapy practice
I offer a collaborative, integrative and relational approach to therapy, grounded in a humanistic understanding of the individual. I aim to provide a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.
My way of working is flexible and tailored to each person’s needs, drawing on a range of therapeutic ideas and approaches. I can incorporate creative expression alongside talking therapy when helpful, supporting different ways of communicating thoughts and feelings.
Together, we can explore current difficulties, past experiences, and repeating patterns that may be impacting your present life. Sessions may focus on increasing emotional awareness, building resilience, improving self-understanding, and supporting meaningful and lasting change.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on individual needs and goals. I also place importance on the therapeutic relationship as a key part of the work, aiming to offer a consistent, grounded, and supportive presence.
Practice description
I have extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of emotional and life challenges, including work with people experiencing psychosis.
My practice is informed by a strong awareness of culture, identity, and diversity, and I work in a trauma-informed way that prioritises safety, trust, and choice. I have particular experience working with diverse communities, including South Asian and West Asian backgrounds, with sensitivity to cultural nuances, migration experiences, family expectations, and identity development.
In my work, I support clients in understanding emotional patterns, processing difficult experiences, and developing greater emotional regulation, resilience, and self-understanding. I work with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, anger, and addiction, as well as relationship and family challenges, parenting difficulties, low self-esteem, identity and cultural concerns, and experiences of discrimination or disconnection. I also offer support with life transitions, work-related stress, burnout, redundancy, health-related issues, and exploring gender, sexuality, and personal identity.
My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space to help you make sense of your experiences and move towards greater wellbeing, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive for you
My first session
Our first session offers an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with. We can discuss your current situation, background, and any goals or expectations you may have. It is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of how I work.
Together, we can consider whether working together feels appropriate and begin to establish a supportive therapeutic relationship.
I offer sessions both face-to-face and online, providing flexibility to suit your needs and location.
