Availability
I currently have availability for new clients and offer both daytime and early evening appointments.
My standard working hours are:
Monday – Saturday: 10:00am to 6:00pm
I aim to offer flexible scheduling where possible, and I will always do my best to accommodate individual needs within these hours.
If I have any planned time away from practice, this will be communicated in advance to ensure continuity of care.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer confidential, person‑centred and cognitive behavioural counselling for adults and young people, with a focus on creating a safe, grounded and non‑judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. My approach is collaborative and relational, shaped by the core conditions of empathy, genuineness and acceptance, while drawing on CBT techniques to support clients in understanding patterns of thought, emotion and behaviour.
I offer a calm, consistent and supportive environment where clients can feel heard, respected and empowered in their own process.
Practice description
My practice is informed by experience in one‑to‑one therapeutic support, group facilitation, and professional observation within community and wellbeing settings. I have supported clients facing a wide range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, low mood, caring responsibilities, relationship difficulties, and the impact of life transitions. I work sensitively with each person’s individual circumstances, promoting emotional resilience, self‑understanding and positive change.
I am a registered member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø and hold the SCOTACS Diploma in Counselling and Group Work (Cognitive Behavioural Approach), COSCA Counselling Skills, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. I am currently completing a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, which continues to strengthen my understanding of mental health and therapeutic practice.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to explore what has brought you to counselling at this time. I will invite you to share, at your own pace, what you feel comfortable discussing, and there is no expectation to go into anything before you are ready. We will look together at what you would like to work on, what you hope to gain from therapy, and any questions or concerns you may have about the process.
I will explain how I work, including confidentiality, boundaries, and how your information is handled, so you have a clear understanding of what to expect. We will also discuss practical details such as session length, frequency, and whether short‑term or longer‑term work feels most appropriate for you.
The first session is collaborative and gentle, giving you space to decide whether my approach feels like a good fit. My aim is to offer a calm, supportive environment where you can feel heard, respected, and able to begin exploring your experiences safely.
