I'm queer, I'm neurodivergent, and I fall into a few minority groups that don't always show on the surface, and that's exactly why I know what it's like to feel like you're standing outside the room looking in, navigating difference and identity and where you actually belong. What I want to offer is a space that's warm and accepting and collaborative, a space that feels properly, unmistakably human.
People often land on words like empathic, gentle, grounded, easy to talk to when they describe me. I'll go quiet and reflective sometimes; that's just how I process things, but real care and curiosity and compassion go into every single session I run.
I got my foundation degree from Iron Mill, and that's genuinely where integrative practice clicked for me — therapy should be built around the person sitting in front of me, never forced to fit some rigid model. Relational, person-centred values come first in how I work, and from there I pull in whatever range of therapeutic theories and creative approaches actually fits what you need.
Practice description
I work collaboratively and client-led, which means we move at your pace, we work out together what you actually need from therapy, and we build a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted.
I bring together person-centred approaches with creative interventions, psychoeducation, compassion-based CBT and Gestalt, and I mean bring together properly, not just tick boxes on a list. But every single intervention I offer is an invitation, never an expectation — you know yourself better than anyone ever will, and I follow your lead, always.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute consultation, no pressure, no obligation, and I'd genuinely recommend it so we can work out if we're actually a good fit for each other. We can talk through your background, what's brought you to therapy right now, whether you've had therapy before and, if you have, what actually worked for you. And honestly, it's mainly about getting a feel for one another and seeing if we click.
If you want to go ahead after that, I'll send over the counselling agreement and intake form, and we can get your first session booked in. Get the paperwork done beforehand, and that first session will mostly be about your backstory, any questions you've got, what you want out of therapy, and getting a sense of how we'll work together going forward.
