About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Ashim, The founder of Revive CBT & Counselling, where I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and tailored to your individual needs, helping you make sense of your experiences and develop practical tools for change.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from trying to cope while things don’t feel right beneath the surface. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, or relationship difficulties, you don’t have to work through this alone.

I work with anxiety, depression, burnout, confidence and relationship challenges. I have a particular interest in men’s mental health and supporting individuals from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, offering a culturally aware and inclusive approach.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I have a background in physiology and health, allowing me to take a holistic view of both mental and physical wellbeing.

My aim is to help you build clarity, resilience and confidence in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.

If you feel we may be a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.

Practice description

My practice is an inclusive and welcoming environment where the needs of the individual are at the centre of everything we do.

Therapy is an extremely personal experience and I believe that everyone is entitled to a space where they feel safe and comfortable to explore their thoughts and feelings.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to explore the difficulties that have brought you to therapy and discuss what you would like to achieve from our work together.

As a CBT therapist, I use the initial session to gather information about your current concerns, relevant history, and any factors that may be maintaining the difficulties you are experiencing. This assessment process helps us develop a shared understanding of your situation and identify clear therapy goals.

I would also ask you to complete an assessment questionnaire to help assess risk, establish a baseline and monitor progress throughout therapy.

The first session also provides an opportunity for you to ask questions about CBT, discuss your expectations of therapy, and decide whether you feel I am the right therapist for you.

Following the assessment, we will agree on a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and goals. The first session is charged at my standard session rate.
