About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist working with adults, couples, and children. My approach is based on the understanding that every person is unique, and I therefore tailor therapy to meet each client’s individual needs, circumstances, and goals.

I aim to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is central to my work, as I believe that feeling heard, understood, and accepted can create the foundation for meaningful change.

As an integrative practitioner, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support clients in a way that feels most helpful to them. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, life transitions, loss, stress, or other challenges, we can work collaboratively to gain insight, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

I work with adults, couples, and children, adapting my approach according to age, developmental needs, and presenting concerns. My aim is to help clients develop a greater understanding of themselves, strengthen their emotional wellbeing, and make positive changes in their lives.

I currently offer online therapy, providing a flexible and accessible way to access support from a private and comfortable environment

Practice description

I understand that taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, and I aim to create an environment where you feel heard, valued, and accepted. I believe that each person is unique, which is why I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs rather than working from a single therapeutic model. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and relationships at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with a range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, loss and bereavement, self-esteem, and emotional wellbeing. Whether you are seeking support for a specific challenge or looking to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can provide a space for reflection, growth, and positive change.

When working with couples, I offer a balanced and collaborative approach, helping both partners feel heard and understood while exploring patterns, communication, and relationship challenges. When working with children, I adapt sessions to suit their developmental needs, creating a safe space where they can express themselves and process their experiences.

I currently offer online therapy, providing flexibility and accessibility for clients who prefer to attend sessions from their own environment. I am also working towards securing a dedicated therapy room and hope to offer in-person sessions in the future.

My aim is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship that supports you in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence as you work towards your goals.

My first session

What to expect in your first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so I aim to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing as much or as little as you wish.

During our initial session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, any difficulties you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I may ask some questions about your background, relationships, wellbeing, and any previous experiences of therapy to help me understand your situation more fully.

The first session is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about therapy, my approach, or how we might work together. We will discuss practical matters such as confidentiality, session arrangements, and expectations of the therapeutic process.

There is no pressure to share everything straight away. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of the session, we can consider whether we feel we are a good fit to work together and discuss possible next steps.

For children and young people, the first session may involve meeting with a parent or carer to gather relevant information and discuss how therapy will be structured, while ensuring the child’s needs remain at the centre of the process.
