About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps life feels overwhelming right now.

You may be feeling anxious, stuck, emotionally exhausted or finding it difficult to cope with the challenges life has brought your way. Maybe you’re struggling with low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, family pressures, or the impact of addiction—whether that’s your own or someone else’s. Whatever has led you to seek counselling, you don’t have to face it alone.

I offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, without fear of criticism or feeling that you have to have everything figured out. My role isn’t to tell you what to do or offer quick fixes. Instead, I’ll work alongside you at your pace, helping you make sense of your experiences and discover your own strengths and direction.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and change when they feel truly heard, understood and accepted. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I aim to create an environment where you feel safe enough to explore whatever is important to you.

I have experience supporting adults with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, stress, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, life transitions, neurodiversity, and the impact of addiction on individuals and families. Every client’s experience is unique, and I tailor our work to your individual needs rather than following a set agenda.

Starting counselling can feel daunting, and it’s important that you find the right therapist. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

Practice description

Alongside my general counselling practice, I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, the impact of addiction on families, and the emotional demands of caring for others.

My aim is to provide a warm and compassionate space where you can explore whatever is on your mind at your own pace. You won’t be told what to do or judged for how you feel.

I offer counselling online and in person, providing a calm and confidential space where you can talk freely about whatever feels important to you.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to counselling. We will talk about what you would like support with, your hopes for counselling, and any questions or concerns you may have.

I will explain how I work, discuss confidentiality and its limits, and give you the opportunity to decide whether I feel like the right Counsellor for you. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. We will work at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
