About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is bringing you to counselling. My approach is person-centred, meaning I work alongside you at your own pace, focusing on what feels most important to you.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, relationship difficulties, and the impact of domestic abuse or violence. While I support individuals with relationship concerns, I do not offer couples counselling.
I understand that everyone's needs are different, so I aim to be flexible in how we work together. Whether you are looking for short-term support or longer-term therapy, sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals.
I offer both online and in-person counselling, providing a safe and welcoming environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain greater self-understanding, and move towards positive change.
Practice description
My approach is grounded in Person-Centred Therapy, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life and have the capacity for growth and change when offered the right support and understanding.
I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, and the impact of domestic abuse or violence. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and I aim to create a safe and compassionate environment where you feel heard, valued, and respected.
In our sessions, I will listen with empathy and without judgement, helping you to explore what is going on for you, gain greater self-awareness, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences. Therapy is not about giving advice or telling you what to do; it is about working alongside you as you find your own way forward.
I offer both online and in-person counselling sessions, depending on what feels most comfortable and accessible for you. Please note that while I work with individuals experiencing relationship issues, I do not offer couples counselling.
My aim is to provide a therapeutic relationship that feels genuine, supportive, and empowering, allowing you the space to explore challenges, build resilience, and move towards a more fulfilling and authentic life.
My first session
I offer a free initial 30-minute telephone call to help us decide whether we can work together and to answer any questions you may have.
In your first session, we will go through the relevant paperwork together, including confidentiality and practical arrangements. After that, the space is yours to begin sharing at your own pace. Each person experiences therapy differently, and sessions are shaped around your individual needs and what feels right for you.
