About me and my therapy practice

I offer professional counselling and psychotherapy tailored to each client’s individual needs. I hold a First Class BSc (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling and am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My approach is pluralistic, meaning I draw on different therapeutic approaches to create a way of working that is individual to each client.

I have undertaken advanced study in Adult Psychological Trauma through the Faculty of Brain Sciences at University College London (UCL). Alongside my private practice, I work within mental health, cancer support, and crisis services in hospital and mental health settings, supporting people through some of life’s most challenging experiences, including suicidal crisis.

I have experience supporting people with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, burnout, work-related stress, addiction, eating difficulties, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, bereavement through suicide, complex mental health needs, and end-of-life issues. I also support individuals with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.

I believe that no concern is too big or too small to bring to counselling, and that therapy can provide a space to explore your experiences with compassion, curiosity, and understanding.

Practice description

My practice is grounded in creating a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

Whether you are experiencing emotional distress, navigating life changes, struggling with relationships, or seeking greater self-understanding and personal growth, I aim to support and empower you on your journey towards improved wellbeing.

My first session

I initially offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation, providing an opportunity for us to briefly discuss your reasons for seeking counselling, ask any questions you may have, discuss any adjustments you may need, and explore whether I am the right counsellor for you.

The first counselling session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to counselling. We will discuss your current concerns, your goals, and any background information you feel comfortable sharing. I will explain how I work and answer any questions you may have. There is no pressure to share everything at once, and we will work at a pace that feels right for you.
