I'm currently taking on new clients.

Sessions can be online in the UK or in person Shropshire. I offer flexible hours where possible, so it's easier to fit sessions around work, caring responsibilities, or other commitments.

About me and my therapy practice

There's no single right time to begin therapy. For some it's because things have piled up and life starts to feel unmanageable. For others, it's something they've lived with for a long time and one day they decide they're ready to face it. Sometimes a course or programme requires it. All these are good places to start.

Whatever's brought you here, I draw on thirty years of experience supporting people in education and community settings. This is what keeps my work rooted. I don't forget that people are complicated, varied and carrying stories that aren’t neat or simple, they are real.

My way of working comes straight from how I try to be as a person: making room for you to speak, to truly being listened to and to know you're being taken seriously.

I work in a person-centred way, which means we begin with you, rather than a set of tick boxes. Whatever shows up in the room has a place, I meet every client as an equal, with real respect for their history, identity and lived experience - you don't have to arrive with a neat story or perfectly chosen 'right words' before reaching out.

People often reach out for therapy when life starts to feel heavy and anxiety is running the show, or stress won't let up, mood dips hang around, or when relationships get tense, times when family dynamics become challenging to manage. Sometimes it's a major shift, a break-up, grief, a move, a loss, all these can affect mental health.

I also have experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients, neurodivergent people and individuals living with the after effects of trauma. The space I provide is calm and confidential

Practice description

What to Expect

Sessions are unhurried, whether meeting online (UK-wide) or face-to-face in Shropshire.

  • Structure: Sessions are 50 minutes long, held at a regular weekly or fortnightly time.
  • Timeline: The work continues for as long as it remains helpful, with no fixed number of sessions. We can review how things are going naturally as we move along, and agree an ending together when the time feels right.
  • Framework: For peace of mind, this practice is guided by the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Ethical Framework and supported by regular professional clinical supervision.
