Taking the first step into therapy isn't always easy, but it can be the beginning of meaningful change.

I'm Samantha Dalton, a registered member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø (MÌÇÐĹÙÍø), offering counselling in Coventry and online via Zoom. I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is affecting your life.

I have experience working with clients from a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, and I value creating an inclusive, respectful, and culturally sensitive therapeutic environment where every individual feels heard, understood, and accepted.

I have experience working with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, domestic and sexual abuse, addiction, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, bipolar disorder, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, grief, and emotional distress. Having worked within both time-limited and longer-term counselling, I understand how important it is to tailor therapy to each individual and to build a strong therapeutic relationship from the very beginning.

As an integrative therapist, I adapt my approach to suit your unique needs, drawing from a range of evidence-informed therapeutic models while keeping the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work. With person-centred therapy as the foundation of my practice, I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

Together, we'll work to deepen your understanding of yourself, process difficult experiences, develop healthier ways of coping, and support lasting emotional growth and wellbeing.

If you're unsure whether counselling is right for you, I offer a free introductory conversation where you can ask questions, learn more about my approach, and decide whether we're the right fit. There is absolutely no obligation to continue.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe that every person has the capacity to heal when they feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported.

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist, having completed four years of professional training at the University of Warwick studying Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Relationships. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MÌÇÐĹÙÍø).

My training has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to work ethically, compassionately, and collaboratively with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

As an integrative therapist, I understand that no two people are the same. Rather than following a single therapeutic model, I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs, personality, experiences, and goals. My work is grounded in person-centred therapy while drawing on a range of evidence-informed approaches where appropriate, allowing us to work together in a way that feels most beneficial for you.

My role isn't to tell you what to do or to offer quick solutions. Instead, I work alongside you, creating a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.

Throughout my clinical practice, I have gained experience working with clients in both short-term and time-limited counselling. Working within limited sessions has strengthened my ability to build meaningful therapeutic relationships quickly, establish clear goals collaboratively, and help clients make valuable progress within the time available. While meaningful change can happen in a relatively short period, I also recognise when longer-term therapy may provide additional opportunities for deeper exploration and healing.

Practice description

I offer counselling for adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including trauma, domestic abuse, addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, and feelings of being overwhelmed or disconnected.

As a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø-registered counsellor working in both Coventry and Nuneaton, I provide face-to-face sessions alongside secure online counselling via Zoom, allowing you to access support in the way that feels most comfortable for you.

Alongside traditional counselling, I also offer outdoor walking therapy in peaceful natural surroundings. For some people, being outdoors can make it easier to talk, reduce anxiety, and create a greater sense of calm during the therapeutic process.

My practice is built on warmth, empathy, honesty, and respect. Whatever brings you to therapy, you'll be met without judgement. Together we'll create a space where you can explore your experiences safely, develop greater self-awareness, and work towards lasting change.

Many of the people I support have spent years surviving rather than truly living. Therapy can provide the opportunity to put down that emotional burden, find your voice, and begin reconnecting with yourself.

My first session

My First Session

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session via Zoom.

This initial meeting gives us the opportunity to get to know one another and discuss what has brought you to therapy. It is a chance for you to ask questions, explore what you hope to achieve, and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.

We'll also discuss confidentiality, boundaries, how therapy works, and what you can expect if you decide to continue.

There is no pressure or expectation to commit after this session. Some people feel ready to begin sharing their story straight away, while others simply use the time to see whether counselling feels right for them. Both approaches are equally welcome.
