About me and my therapy practice

Many people come to therapy carrying a quiet, persistent feeling of being an outsider, a sense of always looking in from the edges, accompanied by an exhausting, underlying belief that there is somehow something fundamentally "different" or "wrong" about them.

Living with this constant feeling of not quite fitting in, or feeling chronically misunderstood by the world around you, can be deeply isolating. My approach is rooted in humanistic principles, focusing on genuine self-acceptance rather than trying to "fix" you, because I do not believe you are broken. I offer open-ended therapy tailored to your unique pace and needs, working with you collaboratively in Enfield to help you explore these feelings safely, untangle old self-judgments, and move toward greater clarity, belonging, and authentic self-acceptance.

I work with clients from all backgrounds, walks of life, and identity experiences. My therapy room is an inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming space where you can bring your whole self without fear of judgment.

Alongside my general practice, I bring specific understanding and clinical experience in two key areas:

Neurodivergence: I have a deep, informed understanding of neurodivergent experiences. Whether you are exploring neurodiversity, navigating executive functioning challenges, or untangling the impact of masking in a neurotypical world, I offer a therapy space that adapts to how you naturally process information, emotions, and communication—never asking you to conform to neurotypical expectations of therapy.

The LGBTQ+ & Transgender Communities: While I work with individuals across the entire gender and sexuality spectrum, I have specific clinical experience working within the LGBTQ+ community, including significant work with transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals. I understand the unique relational, social, and internal challenges that can arise around identity, gender exploration, transition, and belonging.

Practice description

As a Gestalt therapist, I view our work together as a collaborative partnership. Rather than positioning myself as the "expert" who holds all the answers, I meet you with genuine curiosity, warmth, and empathetic support. Together, we explore how you experience your life here and now—mind, body, and emotions.

My therapeutic practice integrates key concepts to help you understand your experiences deeply and holistically:

Here-and-Now Awareness: Examining how present thoughts, bodily sensations, and emotional responses shape your daily life and relationships.

Exploring Patterns & Scripts: Gently identifying and untangling fixed relational patterns or underlying "life scripts" that may no longer serve your present growth.

Cognitive & Emotional Integration: Bridging the gap between intellectual insight and emotional experience—meeting you cognitively while encouraging a safe, holistic connection to your underlying feelings.

Relational Focus: Using our therapeutic relationship as a collaborative, supportive microcosm to explore how you relate to others and the world around you.

My first session

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, and finding the right person to work with is the foundation of effective therapy. It is essential that you feel safe, respected, and heard.

To help you decide if I am the right therapist for you, I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation. This is a pressure-free space for us to explore what you are looking for, answer any questions you might have about my Gestalt approach, and see how we feel working together. There is no expectation or obligation to continue; the primary goal is simply to give you the opportunity to sense if I am someone you can build a safe, trusting therapeutic space with.
