About me and my therapy practice
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves—heard, understood and accepted without judgement. I offer a warm, relational and containing space where you can slow down, explore your inner world, and make sense of your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we create a relationship where difficult emotions can be held with care, explored with curiosity and, over time, become more manageable and meaningful.
With over six years of clinical experience, my practice is integrative, rooted primarily in relational and psychodynamic psychotherapy, while drawing on somatic awareness and creative approaches where they enrich the therapeutic process. Alongside listening to your story, I pay close attention to what is communicated through the body, recognising that our bodies often hold experiences that words alone cannot express. Together, we gently explore the patterns, relationships and experiences that shape how you relate to yourself and others, creating space for insight, self-compassion and lasting change.
My work has also been enriched through training in Transactional Analysis (TA 101) and Psychodrama. I value the depth that longer-term psychotherapy can offer and believe that meaningful change unfolds through a consistent and trusting therapeutic relationship.
Having trained and practised in India before establishing my practice in the UK, I bring a deep appreciation for diversity and the cultural contexts that shape our identities. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and remain mindful of how culture, family, migration, belonging and difference influence our emotional lives. I believe healing is not about becoming someone different, but about finding the freedom to become more fully yourself.
Practice description
I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions, share what has brought you to therapy, and explore your hopes and expectations for our work together. It also allows us both to get a sense of whether we feel like the right fit, as finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable and understood is an important part of the therapeutic process.
If you decide to begin therapy, sessions can be arranged on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on your needs and what feels most supportive for you.
I work in accordance with the ethical frameworks of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø and NCPS. As part of safe and ethical practice, I engage in regular clinical supervision. While aspects of my work may be discussed within supervision, your confidentiality is always protected, and your identity is never disclosed.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. While I'll be interested in understanding your journey and what has brought you to therapy, my primary focus is on creating a trusting therapeutic relationship. Rather than rushing into deeper work, I believe it's important that you feel comfortable, heard and understood, allowing therapy to unfold at a pace that feels right for you.
