About me and my therapy practice
My approach is warm, relational and grounded. I believe that beneath difficult experiences, self-doubt and the many ways life can shape us, there remains a sense of who we are. Sometimes we can lose touch with that as we adapt, cope, care for others or find our way through difficult periods of life.
I see therapy not as a place to fix what is broken, but as a space to understand yourself more deeply and reconnect with what feels true for you.
I work Humanistically, drawing predominantly from Person-Centred and Gestalt approaches, alongside Transactional Analysis. In practice, this means we may explore your experiences, relationships and patterns, while also noticing what is happening in the here and now, your thoughts, emotions and what you experience physically. The past can be important too, particularly when earlier experiences continue to influence how you feel or relate today.
I completed my BSc (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling at the Metanoia Institute, with intensive, in-depth training across these approaches. I bring over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families, including three years of therapeutic practice. My training and experience include trauma, grief and loss, attachment and relationships, domestic abuse, sexuality and gender, and intersectionality.
My role isn't to tell you who to be or where you should go. It is to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity as you deepen your understanding of yourself, reconnect with your own inner resources and develop greater trust in yourself and your choices.
Practice description
People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. I work with anxiety and stress, grief and loss, relationship and family difficulties, parenting concerns, low self-worth, identity, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, domestic abuse and the impact of difficult or traumatic experiences.
But you don't need to fit neatly into a category. Sometimes simply being human in a demanding world can feel difficult. You may feel disconnected from yourself, uncertain about what you need or where you're going, or simply want somewhere to pause, reflect and understand yourself more deeply.
There are different ways we can work together:
In person — Banstead & South Wimbledon
A private space where we can meet face-to-face and allow the therapeutic relationship to develop over time.
Online or telephone — across the UK
I hold an additional specialist qualification in Online and Telephone Therapy (OPT), with specific training in providing therapy safely and effectively in these settings.
Walk & Talk — South West London & Surrey
For some people, talking while walking feels more natural than sitting face-to-face. Being outdoors and moving alongside each other can offer a little more space to talk, pause, notice and reflect, while still holding the same therapeutic intention.
My first session
Before beginning therapy, I offer a free 15-minute telephone conversation. It’s a chance to tell me a little about what has brought you here, ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to continue.
Concessions & student rates
I believe cost shouldn’t automatically be a barrier to accessing therapy. I offer a student rate, alongside a limited number of concessionary spaces for those on lower incomes or where the standard fee may be difficult to manage. You’re very welcome to ask about what is currently available during our initial conversation.
If we decide to work together, our first 50-minute session is simply a place to begin.
I believe trust grows through relationship, so you don’t need to arrive ready to tell me everything or with a clear set of goals. As we get to know one another and trust develops, we can begin to understand together what you need from therapy and what feels important to explore.
We’ll also talk through confidentiality, practical arrangements and any questions you may have.
There is no right way to begin. We start with where you are, and allow the work to grow from there.
