About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, thoughtful and confidential space where you can talk openly about what is troubling you. My approach is person-centred, which means I will work alongside you at your pace, helping you to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement.
Many of the people I work with are looking not only for support, but also for a space to reflect more deeply on themselves and their lives. This might involve exploring patterns, relationships, or emotional experiences, and being open to a process of understanding and change over time.
Practice description
I offer an initial telephone or video consultation, usually lasting around 20–30 minutes, free of charge. This gives us an opportunity to talk through what is bringing you to counselling, think together about what you might need, and for you to get a sense of whether I feel like the right person to work with. There is no obligation to continue.
If you decide to go ahead, I will send you my counselling agreement in advance of our first session. This outlines how I work, including practical and ethical considerations, so that we have a shared understanding from the outset.
Sessions are available in person and online.
My first session
Our first full session is a space for you to begin wherever feels most important. You do not need to prepare anything in advance - we will work with whatever you choose to bring on the day. Some people come with a clear focus, while others are less sure where to begin - both are equally welcome.
My approach is to work alongside you, at your pace. I will not rush the process, and you are free to share as much or as little as feels comfortable.
Some people find themselves wanting to reflect more deeply on patterns or emotional experiences over time, and we can work with this together at a pace that feels right for you.

About me and my therapy practice
A person-centred way of being underpins my approach to both therapy and supervision. I aim to offer a safe, thoughtful and reflective space where you can explore your work openly and at your own pace.
Alongside my core person-centred training, I have undertaken additional training in working with young people, families and adoption (including work with Barnardo’s), as well as CBT-informed approaches. I also hold a Level 2 certificate in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), which informs my understanding of emotional processing and depth work within both therapy and supervision.
I have completed cyber-therapy training and work comfortably online as well as in person.
Practice description
I am an experienced counsellor, supervisor and course tutor, working with both trainee and qualified counsellors from person-centred and integrative backgrounds.
While the person-centred approach remains at the heart of my work, my experience in practice, supervision and teaching has led me to integrate a range of perspectives where helpful. This includes drawing on relational, experiential and reflective approaches to support your development as a practitioner.
My aim in supervision is to offer a space that is both supportive and appropriately challenging, where you can reflect on client work, develop your practice, and maintain ethical and professional standards. I work collaboratively, tailoring supervision to your individual needs, whether you are in training, newly qualified or more established in your work.
I have particular experience in supporting trainees, as well as counsellors developing or sustaining private practice.
Supervision is available in person, online or by telephone.
My first session
I offer an initial 20-minute consultation by telephone or video, free of charge. This gives us an opportunity to meet, think together about what you are looking for from supervision, and see whether we feel like a good fit to work together. There is no expectation to continue.
If we decide to go ahead, our first full session will include agreeing how we will work together, including contracting and ethical considerations. We will also explore your current level of experience, the context you are working in (for example, private practice, agency or training placement), and what you most need from supervision at this stage.
My approach to supervision is grounded in a person-centred way of being, alongside eight years’ experience as a supervisor. I draw on models such as the Seven-Eyed Model, (Hawkins & Shohet,2019) while working collaboratively with you to focus on what feels most important in each session, whether that is client work, process, professional development or self-awareness.
I work with both trainee and experienced counsellors. For those in training, I am mindful that feelings such as uncertainty or shame can sometimes make it harder to bring aspects of the work. I therefore place particular emphasis on creating a safe, non-judgemental space where everything can be explored.
For more experienced practitioners, supervision can offer a space to reflect more deeply on complex client work, develop your practice, and maintain ethical and professional standards over time. I aim to provide both a supportive and appropriately challenging environment, where you can think openly and continue to grow in your work.
Overall, I offer a collaborative and down-to-earth approach to supervision, shaped around your individual needs and stage of practice.
