About me and my therapy practice

Hi prospective future client,

Whatever you are feeling, it hasn't developed overnight, it is probably hard to talk about and it might be the first time that you have shared this with someone else. I offer a safe space to explore your concerns and will work through them at your pace.

I offer a relaxed, calm space where humour, quietness or anxiousness is welcome. I promise to meet you where you are at and endeavour to get you to where you want to be.

I am open, honest and fully present for you and I am here to walk beside you on your journey.

A bit about me...

My career in counselling is vocational and I am committed to providing a warm and competent experience for my clients. I have been a practising therapist for over 15 years. For the last decade I have worked as the lead counsellor for a local charity in Bournemouth and also in private practice

Practice description

I work with adults primarily online and face to face but have worked with CYP from 14+

My qualifications are:

MÌÇÐĹÙÍø (Accred), Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision, Foundation Degree in Counselling, Relate Certificate in Family Counselling, Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Diploma in Integrative Counselling Therapy, Diploma in Mental Health and Wellbeing, Diploma in Life Coaching.

I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office. I have a current Disclosure and Barring service certificate (DBS) and Level 3 Safeguarding.

My core training is in integrative therapy which means that I will tailor my approach to you, drawing on the modalities that I have trained in.

I work primarily online but have access to two counselling offices in Bournemouth.

I will consider home visits for clients who have difficulty with access although this may carry an extra nominal fee for travel.

My first session

I would be happy to have a chat with you prior to booking an appointment.

Once you have decided to go to the next step, we will arrange a date for your counselling assessment. The assessment appointment helps us to determine if we are the right fit for each other and to think about the work that we will do together and what it would be like.

At the end of that meeting you will have a flavour of what working together would be like and you can decide if you would like to proceed.

About me and my therapy practice

I am available to supervise, individual counsellors, therapists, life coaches and coach therapists, trainee counsellors and trainee coaches, groups of trainee counsellors and groups of people who work with vulnerable people in various settings.

Having trained as a counsellor and life coach most of my supervision practice is with therapists and coaches. However, I have also a large amount of experience working with several organisations, whose employees work with vulnerable client groups. To help mitigate the effects of vicarious trauma, transference, compassion fatigue and burnout (not exhaustive).

I have been qualified as a clinical supervisor since 2016 and practice the seven eyed model of supervision.

Practice description

I offer clinical supervision online.

Supervises can book for individual:

1hr appointments monthly £65

1.5 hr appointments monthly £60 per hour

2 x 45 minute appointments fortnightly for students

I offer concessionary rates for students in groups of 3

* as clinical responsibility would rest with me students would need to ensure they attended sessions as arranged.

My first session

To explore the Supervisee's practice and go through the supervision agreement, which will be sent prior to the first appointment.
