Hello, my name is Sarah and thank you for taking time to read my profile. I have been working  as a counsellor for nearly 20 years and work privately, in the NHS and charity sector.   My particular passion is the health and wellbeing of women and fam鈥�

Welcome 鈥� I鈥檓 Bernadette, a psychotherapist specialising in the emotional wellbeing of children, young people, and their families. I began my career in teaching, where I gained a deep understanding of how emotional wellbeing underpins a child鈥檚 capac鈥�

With an experienced and compassionate approach, I provide effective counselling support from which you will develop self awareness and gain coping strategies and techniques. Think of counselling as a safe space in which you will feel heard and unders鈥�

Accepting that you need the help of someone else can be hard. Making the decision to attend counselling can be even harder. Partners, peers and family may not understand, you may feel like you've failed somehow, you may feel like you are not enough. 鈥�

I am an experienced, accredited Counsellor working with individuals aged 18 or over in Cheltenham. I can help with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, trauma and more. I provide Face-to-Face counselling from 鈥�

I work in an integrated way , using approaches from person centered to CBT to meet each person and their counselling needs.  I have been a counsellor since 2006 and have experience in schools and university alongside private work.   I believe I am ap鈥�

My clinical experience and professional training in psychology, counselling, trauma, psychoeducational groupwork and cognitive behavioural therapy informs my ability to offer effective individualised therapy. My training enables me to work collaborat鈥�

When we work together, my first priority is to understand you as an individual. I don鈥檛 believe in a 鈥渙ne size fits all鈥� approach to therapy. Instead, I adapt the way I work so it fits your unique needs, goals, and circumstances. I draw on a range of鈥�
